The baddest boss I faced was the black phantom of Scirvir the Wanderer in Demon Souls on Black World Tendency in Stonefang Tunnels.
In contrast, Bloodborne just feels fast and rewarding whether in gameplay or in exploration. The further I progress into the game the less I get out of it.
In gameplay it does not hold a candle to even modded Dark Souls 1 and nonmodded Scholar of the First Sin as I find the jumping attacks to be half assed and guard counters to be pointless and the rest lacking in preciseness.

Though I have had great fun riding around on Torrent and swinging my big ass weapons around (when the game lets me ), I can honestly say that I have grown bored of running around aimlessly in Elden Ring. I think Rykard is the best spectacle boss in the games (2nd would be Divine Dragon from Sekiro) its a masterpiece of a boss fight, the voice acting, the cinematic, the lines, the build up to reach him via the quest, his backstory and the gimmick itself is a spectacle to be held, he is my personal No.1 Favorite boss fight in Elden Ring and top 10 of all time. Isshin the Sword Saint, Demon Prince, Owl, Genichiro, Rykard, Gael, Sir Alonne, Radhan and many others.Īnd to throw oil to the fire i would personally claim both Sister Friede and Malenia both as better and more memorable fights too. I have to admit her design is elegant and she looks cool, but that alone does not put her at the top of Fromsoft boss roaster imo. Maria was decent but too easy and Laurence was extremely underwhelming due to being like a reskinned cleric beast but with fire and a 2nd phase where he is on the ground, it does not do it justice for one of the major characters of the story. On the other hand Laurence and Lady Maria under-delivered imo. I think Orphan of Kos and Ludwig were both more unique, more challenging and better executed as bosses for important characters/beings.

In addition to that she behaves like an upgrade hunter fight but without the cool transformation and dialogue of Father Gascoigne or the cooler aesthetics and dance-like fight of Gerhman. While Lady Maria has those flashy cool anime moves i think as a boss she was rather underwhelming, for example her transition to phase 2 and 3 in the fight wasn't as good as others, and the way she can be easily staggered (you can spam regular attacks on Lady Maria and stagger her until your stamina is depleted) or parried takes away from the challenge. But Lady Maria is Fromsoft at their best? i have to disagree. Really? Lady Maria? I understand Ludwig since he was one of the first bosses with good transition to phase 2 with memorable cutscene.
